Why has the National Association of Evangelicals turned libby and lefty by opposing the burning of the Qu’ran?
I used to support the National Association of Evangelicals as one of the few religious organizations in this country to uphold traditional Christian values.
But now the NAE has stated that the Qu’ran should not be burned:
““The proposed burning of Qurans would be profoundly offensive to Muslims worldwide, just as Christians would be insulted by the burning of Bibles,” an NAE statement said. “Such an act would escalate tensions between members of the two faiths in the United States and around the world.”
This was reported in the Baptist Standard, the newspaper of Texas Baptists. Maybe Texas Baptists have gone all liberal on us, too.
Anyway, what a bunch of cowards the NAE is, right? What’s next? Sharia law? The Burqa? Banning pork products?

Because you can’t say that it is wrong to burn the Bible and then turn around and burn another religious text. It doesn’t matter WHICH religious text we’re talking about.

The hotel concierge tipped us off to another promotional code for admission to NASA. The gate price of NASA is $20 a person. However, when we used the promo code associated with the hotel, we got tickets for $15. Plus, we got another tip. NASA opens at 10 a.m. However, if you are willing to get there by 9:30 a.m., you can avoid the $5 parking fee.

After our visit to NASA, we were nice and exhausted. However, we still had a wedding to go to in Galveston. Again, we went online to find some good deals online.
If you go to the Hotel Galvez’s website, you will see they offer a spa package. This means anyone booking a room online using their posted promo code will receive a free 50 minute massage. Now most people would jump at that deal, but we know where there is one promo code there is another.
We started looking up more promotional codes for the Hotel Galvez and sure enough there were more. It seems this massage and room combo was a popular coupon. We found it everywhere online, except they all had different prices. After a bit of searching, we found the hotel, massage, and a facial for $159 a night. The listed price for the hotel without massage or facial was $189.

The cool thing about promo codes is they are everywhere. Unlike traditional coupons which you have to receive in your e-mail or cut out of a newspaper, promotional codes are available year round online. Since Internet connections can be found at most hotels, coffee shops and even some fast food chains, finding these codes while on vacation is super easy.
