The professional golfer Jim Thorpe has been sentenced to one year in prison for non-payment 2 million dollars in taxes. Thorpe surrender to the authorities, no later than 1 April 2010. Once released Thorpe will perform 200 hours of supervised community service and repay the amount of taxes.
