Where can I find the BEAUTIFUL Milky Way Galaxy?
I know in the Yahoo! News line that one of them said you can see the Milky Way. I live in Louisville, KY and I know you have to get out of the city to see and star gaze the full night-sky (ex: Meteor Showers), but where, like which place in Kentucky not too far from Louisville can I see this amazing event and what will I need for this Milky Way experience? I wanted to record this major event for years X3 Thanks!

It looks like the Hoosier National Forrest is the closest place to you with reasonably dark skies. It looks like Lake Cumberland State Park may be a bit darker but it is much farther away. There is no place at all withing 100 miles that is really dark.
Sadly it looks like the area around Louisville KY is much more light polluted than the area around Austin, TX, where I live.
