Supreme Court backs black applicants in firefighter discrimination suit
Chicago could be liable for as much as $100 million in damages in the case in which minority candidates passed a fire department exam but were not hired.
The Supreme Court on Monday reinstated a discrimination ruling in favor of 6,000 black applicants for Chicago firefighting jobs in the 1990s, saying the entry-level test the city fire department used had a “disparate impact” based on race.

Wow so those liberal Democrats in Chicago under Clinton and under the white Democrat leadership were so racist towards black firefighters, yet they blame the Republican conservatives for being racist.

We keep hearing how President Obama inherited the economic conditions of our nation from President Bush, and at some point someone needs to start pointing that finger in their own mirror. Why you ask? Simple, because everything that the Obama Administration has done, has not worked. For instance, the Stimulus Package didn’t provide jobs, shovel-ready or otherwise, in fact, job losses now exceed the Obama Administration’s worst estimates in the event their stimulus package didn’t get passed.
Worse, over 50% of that stimulus money never got spent, and we know what unemployment looks like today and the plight of our small business community, which historically provides 75% of the jobs in the USA. And yet, all we hear still is how it is Bush’s fault? Well, folks that’s just utter nonsense, poppycock, and baloney. And let’s look at that wondrous Health Care Bill “ObamaCare” what has that done to reduce medical costs? Nothing, medical costs have risen consistently by a factor of 10 over the inflation rate, and now with no-inflation it continues to skyrocket – exactly how did that help anyone – It didn’t. Bush’s fault? Oh, for Pete’s sake, come on man.
Last year some time President Obama apparently said to a Congressman who he wanted to vote for one of his campaign promises; “… And don’t think we aren’t keeping score brother,” in other words, if you don’t vote for this, there is going to be a political price to pay in the future. Now, we shouldn’t be too angry at Washington style politics, as often that is how it works. Even Rahm Emanuel had given ultimatums to various law makers to push the Obama Agenda, that’s just how it’s done. And remember Obama perfected his craft in Chicago, and we all know what politics are like there.
The reality is that President Obama cannot legitimately blame Bush. President Obama must pony up, admit he’s made incredibly bad mistakes, shown very poor judgement, and is basically unfit to lead. Anything short of that would be a disconnect with reality, and a dismal showing of integrity. Further, if the well-credentialed Ivy League Lawyer, and community protest organizer can’t do any better than this, then it is time to call it what it is, and replace our nation’s CEO, and put someone else in that massively expensive Corporate Jet; Air Force One.
America needs a reality check and the buck must stop there. It’s time to look forward, not backwards.
