Do you watch foreign series?
I am Chinese American. I love to watch these Hong Kong based series that is only available to rent from limited local Chinatown stores. I find it very relaxing and it always cheers me up when I am in a bad mood. I am TIRED of American t.v…it is garbage except for some news/educational stations. Besides…foreign series usually lasts up to 20-40 eppies. No draggy storylines!!! Period. 
What I love about H.K series is that it is like a book, each eppie is like a chapter of the book and it is told more thorougly and straight to the point. What about you? What foreign series interests you?
At Malaysia, they import drama from ( except English & America )

News Chinatown
Did communist China land upon you today ? or did you have any strange encounters with anything Chinese?
My eerie encounter with China unfolded like this. I came back from school at around 4 , turned on the TV to CNN ( I am obssessed with the news ! ) and all i saw was RED RED and more RED flags and a vast sea of Asian faces on the screen. After a couple of hours of watching the Olympics drama unfolding in San Fracisco, I looked around the living room and my eyes landed right on the words Made in China . And then I looked out the window and i saw the Chinese after school kids playing outside. BTW I live in Chinatown Boston (well that part was no surprise for me since i’ve been there for 3 years)

I’m listening to a Chinese CD. the group is S.H.E. which stands for Selina, Hebe, Ella the names of the 3 girls in the group. those are not actually their real names though. it was some kind of marketing thing to do that.
