My News 24
On television shows on the Fox Station, such as prison break and 24, what do the FOX NEWS ALERTS footer say?
Hi y’all, this might take a little work, but I think it’ll be worth it, and if you don’t do it, I will, though it’ll take work…yahoo don’t fail me now.
So in shows on fox like 24 and prison break, they regularly show fox news alerts about the events unfolding in the show. This has irked me for sometime because when they show “fox news alert: nuclear bomb unleashed in los angeles” on 24 and the news shows “fox news alert: is bennifer over?” on the news, it’s a bit misleading.
Anyway, this week on prison break on the fox “news” alert, the footer said something about troop withdrawl… and it led me to wonder, heck, what else is being written there.
So, my question, nay, expectation of you is, what do they say in the footers?
Thanks!
Do watch both shows so when the alerts come, know its a snippet about the upcoming show and don’t get it confused with real news.
My News 24

My design aesthetic was inspired by established graphic designer Jason Santa Maria. I listened to a web conference given by him on Smashing Magazine a couple of months ago. This lecture really opened my eyes to web design. My web design aesthetic is print. What am I talking about?
In today’s world almost everyone has a website. The internet contains sites loaded with knowledge. You can visit a news site and see tons of stories from decades ago. This outpouring of information has blocked the aspect of design. Many sites you visit focus on more of the content then the layout. With numerous visits lasting about two seconds each, there is no attempt to keep eyes in one spot. There are so many sites that lack beautiful design.
Jason Santa Maria uses the concept of print design and brings it to the web. He treats websites like a magazine layout. Content is carefully placed with beautiful design that emphasizes the information and doesn’t take away from the general purpose. I think this is a brilliant idea. It brings back the beauty of design but still keeps content at the desired level of importance. I used this concept with my website and I love it.
Before I stumbled on this technique, I was continuously changing my site. I just wasn’t happy with it. I felt like I was just cramming in content. I’ve gotten positive feedback on the design from professors and colleagues.
If you’re looking for inspiration on website design, why not open up a magazine?
