Are people who consume celebrity rags and other forms of mass entertainment stupid?
Why, when I say that people who consume all the celebrity gossip rags, watch WWE, or take part in other mass spectacles are stupid, do I invariably get someone with a PhD that says they have a lifetime subscription to The National Enquirer. The current head of the FCC said that mass entertainment is tearing apart the fabric of democracy. Brittney Spears news is on TV so you won’t know what is going on in Spain, or Namibia despite what they tell you about needing the ratings. Yet, I invariable get an answer like: I have a Masters Degree in Poly Sci, yet I really want to know what Brittney is doing and I am not stupid. “Inquiring minds want to know” as the tagline says, this is pure irony. I reworded this question from another post.
Yes,because it’s all crap,most of the stories are produced with the agreement of the so-called ‘celebrities’.

I was researching a current event for my spanish class and i came across the above site.
If Barcelona can capture the terrorists then what’s stopping the U.S? esp. if they are “supposedly” the country with the most military power(according to my us history textbook)
Why haven’t U.S got the terrorist yet if they “claim” that they know where they are. If these people are not caught, they are just going to be growing.
Or Am I wrong? Because That’s what I heard. U.S knows where and who the terrorists are but they haven’t gotten them yet.
And what’s with Obama sending 30,000 troops to Afghan? How is that peaceful? Do anyone notice how many times he said war and peace in his acceptance speech for the Nobel prize(which he doesn’t deserve by the way)
i think the US should keep there nose out of other country’s businesses, we need to clean our own house first, right can be abused and over done, what good has it done to give them things have only gotten worse
