How do I change settings on facebook so what I post on peoples walls doesn’t show up in the news feed?

With NEW facebook privacy settings how do I prevent my posts to my friends wall from showing in the news feed?
With the privacy settings made in december 2009. Before this change, I had it so when I commented on someones’ wall it wouldn’t show up on the news feed. But now my posts to my friends walls are appearing. I know people who still have the old setting, but i don’t know how to get it back. I don’t want all of my friends reading what I post to people.

I think you have to click on the key pad type thing and chose who you want to see it.
