It’s a mashup of Google Maps and a news feed. I need to make something like this including images but exactly what that site shows.
Where do I start or what can I use to create it..?
I know how to get Google Maps on a page etc I don’t have a problem with webdesign. But getting the two things to communicate and stuff, I don’t have a clue. I would love to make something like a first one but Idk. Please help I’m about to cry…..

Like say for example I used Yahoo Images API so if someone clicked on Japan pics of Japan should also appear aswell.

You’d need to do some programming. On the client side (browser) you’d need to do some Javascript programming, on the server side you’d need to do some ASP/ VB.NEt programming or another language (eg. PHP). Assuming, of course, that Google Maps allows to be operated within frames (Not sure about this). Your program would examine the location of the map and then find pictures for the associated area and impose them on the Google map using Javascript. To avoid copyright issues you’d need to have the client computer directly download maps from Google, and link to the original sources of the images for the area.
Just a heads up, this would be no easy task, even for an experienced programmer. It would take a while to get it working, it’s not a project that could be setup in an hour or two for sure.

How to create an app for my Facebook group?
I have a blog that uses disqus.com to manage its comments. I am also the admin of a Facebook group. Disqus.com has the ability to let people login to their Facebook from my blog and leave comments. When I try to activate this feature, disqus.com asks me for an “API Key” and has a link that says “Click here to get one”. When I click on the link, I get the following pop-up box:
“Connect DISQUS with Facebook to interact with your friends on this site and to share on Facebook through your Wall and friends’ News Feeds.
DISQUS Bring your friends and info Publish content to your Wall”
It is asking me to login to activate this, but I don’t have a username/password for my Facebook group – I access the group through my personal Facebook, and I don’t want that linked to my blog. How do I get/enable this app for my FB group?
